EYE EXAMS

It is important to have your eyes examined regularly by a qualified Optometrist. This will help to ensure that your vision is at its very best at all times. Our highly skilled Optometrists, combined with the latest technology provide an in depth and thorough evaluation of your eyes’ vision and health.

An eye examination at our practice covers much more than just making sure you have the correct optical prescription and, if required, new glasses or contact lenses. It is also an important health check-up and can indicate problems such as glaucoma, cataracts, high blood pressure and diabetes.

To determine the health and vision of your eyes, your examination includes:

  • Retinal evaluations for diabetic retinopathy, hypertensive retinopathy, and cataracts with the use of the most current technology
  • Automatic computer refractions to determine your exact prescription
  • Corneal topography analysis for contact lenses
  • Comprehensive patient eye history
  • Prescription for distance, intermediate and/or near vision
  • External eye health examination
  • Internal eye health examination
  • Intraocular pressure check for glaucoma
  • Near focusing
  • Binocular vision

After your comprehensive eye exam, the doctor will discuss your vision correction options. If you are interested in wearing contact lenses, the doctor will then begin a second examination.

During the second examination or your “contact lenses fitting” examination, the doctor will determine the best initial contact lens design and materials for your eyes. There are NO additional fees for your contact lens fitting examination. Our contact lens materials are competitively priced compared to other professional providers.

Retinal Photography (this test is optional at a cost of $10 per eye)

A computerized camera enables the doctor to provide a more thorough analysis of the inside of your eyes. Photodocumentation is painless and does not require eye drops for dilation. Nothing will touch your eyes and the images of your eyes are available immediately for you to view with the doctor. The image is stored forever and can be an excellent reference point to make future comparisons. Copies of the image can be e-mailed to your primary doctor or printed for him on plain paper.

To make an appointment for your next eye examination, just call us at (815)963-3454. The price of an eye examination is only $45.00.

We look forward to seeing you!
